It is Time to Face Facts - There is No Magic Pill Or Miracle Way to Lose Weight

Sorry if that title leaves you feeling disappointed, but the plain and simple truth - despite what the "diet gurus" might lead you to believe - is that the only way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories per day than your body burns up per day.
Yes, there is no getting away from the fact that it comes down to the scientifically proven truth that if you eat more calories than your body can use, you will gain weight.
Period.
Deep down we have known this for years and years, and yet we still 'buy in' to the latest fad diet that promises effortless weight loss by eating all of your favourite foods, and no exercise required.
We have been bombarded with diets claiming that if you eat one specific food group, or eliminate entirely another food group, you will achieve the body of your dreams.
If you examine these diets closely however you will see that by eliminating a certain food group - carbohydrates for example - you are automatically restricting your calorie intake, which is why the diet will work (short-term).
It is because of fewer calories eaten, not because you have eliminated the carbohydrates.
Another aspect of this type of dieting method is that boredom very soon sets in; you may very well be able to eat 'unlimited' amounts of the specified protein foods, but after a while there is only so much steak, eggs, fish etc.
, that your palate can cope with.
Your appetite for these foods will diminish, and so you will eat less.
Hey presto - you have reduced your calorie intake and so you will lose weight! From personal experience I felt positively nauseous when I followed a high protein diet, and found myself craving fresh fruit and vegetables - all the healthy foods that we should include in our day-to-day food plans.
The real secret to losing weight is that there is no secret to losing weight.
You know what you need to do.
Stop buying the latest diet plan; save your money and implement the knowledge you already have.
