How to Make a Piping-Hot, Delicious, Homemade Pizza

In order to make a good pizza dough, you first need one package, which is one-fourth ounces, of active dry yeast, a cup of warm water, two cups of bread flour, two tablespoons of olive oil, a teaspoon of salt, and two teaspoons of white sugar. You will also need a small bowl. In that small bowl, you need to dissolve the yeast into the cup of warm water. The water and yeast mixture will need to stand until it turns into a creamy mixture, which will be about ten minutes, give or take a minute.

Then you will need to take out a large bowl. In that large bowl, you will need to combine the two cups of bread flour, the two tablespoons of olive oil, the teaspoon of salt, the two teaspoons of white sugar, and the yeast and water mixture. Then you will need to stir all of them together. After that, beat the dough until it becomes stiff. Then cover the whole thing and let it rise, which will take about thirty minutes. During this time, make sure the preheat the oven to three-hundred and fifty degrees Fahrenheit or one-hundred and seventy-five degrees Celsius.

After the dough has doubled in size, you will need to remove it from the bowl. Just a couple of minutes before you are ready to take it out of the bowl, evenly flour a flat surface. When the pizza dough is ready to be pulled out, you will need to just plop it down onto that well floured surface. Then roll the pizza dough into a nice ball. Next take a rolling pin and evenly roll out the dough into a round pizza crust shape. When rolling the dough out, be careful. Make sure that the crust is evenly rolled out, because if you stretch one side out too much, then the shape will not be circular and there might be some weak points that might tear. If it tears, just take a little pinch of dough from the edges and fill in the hole.

After you have rolled out the dough, it is time to put on your toppings. Sauce is first, and using a flavorful marinara sauce is key. I like the ones that have garlic or vegetables already in them. After you have spooned the sauce into the center, then take the curved side of the spoon and just spread the sauce in a circular motion. This helps ensure that the sauce is evenly dispersed. Next it is time to sprinkle on the cheese. Again, this is a time to get really flavorful cheeses, like parmesan and mozzarella, or even provolone. A good mix of cheeses will make the whole pizza taste delicious and will have more taste depth. Next put on whatever other toppings you want, meat, veggies, etc. After you put all of the toppings on, I like to add a few Italian spices, again for flavor. Then pop it into the oven for about twenty minutes or until golden brown.
