We all have things in our lives that seem bigger than us, for some it is alcohol, others it is debt, for me it was once cigarettes. If we give these problems the power, they will consume us, and control every aspect of our lives, and take away our hope. Sometimes we know exactly what is causing us pain, and other times it is more hidden, and we need to use our symptoms, so to speak, to diagnose the problem. These three signs of a clutter controlled life will help you discover if clutter is the demon in your life.

• You are immediately embarrassed whenever the someone rings the doorbell. The thought of hosting a church group bible study, social gathering or family reunion sends you into a panic. This deep feeling of embarrassment for the state of your home may even keep you from inviting all but your closest friends and family into your house.




• You feel that even if you had the motivation to completely clean and organize your messy home, you would not have the foggiest idea on where to start. Not only do you not feel like you have a plan, you feel like you do not even have the knowledge or equipment to handle the job.




• You can not remember a time when you enjoyed your house and its atmosphere. Every time you look around your house and see the state it is in, you start feeling bad about yourself. You do not remember the last time you liked being at home, and felt that it was a safe and clean place to live and relax.

If these signs describe you in any way, it is possible that the clutter in your home is controlling your life. The chaos in our lives often times make us believe things that are not true.
